Think & Action Tank on Climate ChangeIE Foundation will soon host a Think & Action Tank focused on Climate Change, designed to strengthen the climate action ecosystem in Spain and Europe and serve as a pivotal force for breakthrough climate achievements.The objectives of the Think & Action Tank are to (1) Promote inclusive and informed understanding of climate concerns and opportunities; (2) Enhance climate knowledge and wisdom; and (3) Drive positive climate action and impact through influence to drive long-term societal change. The Junior Manager of the Think & Action Tank on Climate Change will be responsible for the delivery and day-to-day management of the organisation.

The incumbent will report to the Director of the Think & Action Tank.

The position will be based at the IE Tower in Madrid. IE Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 1997, dedicated to nurturing IE University''s core values of Sustainability, Humanities, Diversity, Inclusion, and Entrepreneurship.

Alongside the development of scholarships and impact initiatives, one of the main goals of IE Foundation is to support research initiatives that enable the development of innovative solutions to the most pressing challenges of our time. Supporting a total of eight centres and six chairs and observatories, in addition to more than 20 research initiatives, IE Foundation is experienced in actively driving the generation and dissemination of cutting-edge knowledge on critical societal issues.

Several centres, observatories, chairs, and research initiatives supported by the Foundation are focused on the sustainability pillar.IE Foundation acts as a catalyst within the community of IE University, ensuring cross-connections between internal and external stakeholders, including IE Faculty, companies, institutions, and alumni.

It has a unique capacity to mobilize and leverage the resources, talent, and capacity of IE University, as a world-class university, to enhance its social impact.The IE Foundation''s dedication to promoting IE University''s core values, including a strong emphasis on sustainability, along with its extensive experience in establishing and managing research-oriented entities, observatories, and academic initiatives throughout the IE University network, and its deep-rooted connections within a diverse community, ensure its suitability for the important mission of developing and managing a Think & Action Tank on Climate Change.IE Foundation serves as an impactful catalyst that can leverage the unique capabilities of IE University and its community to facilitate the mission of the Think and Action Tank.ResponsibilitiesSupport to the operational, financial, and administrative management of the Think & Action Tank.Manage and/or monitor the day-to-day implementation of the activities and ensure its successful delivery.Interact with potential and current partners, build trust, assess needs, and identify opportunities for collaboration.Provide support for online and face-to-face presentations of the Tank’s teams and partners, as well as for occasional media engagements.Seek, elaborate, and coordinate information (people research, corporate relationships, etc.).Develop projects in cooperation with other internal and external partners, such asOrganization of events and meetings (invitations, design, scheduling, etc.)Elaboration of agendas Implementation of engagement processes and activities.

Follow-up of processes and collaborations within IE and with other partnersLiaise with other departments.

Coordination of publications and media materials, as well as requests from journalists, PRs and other key stakeholders.Management of the Tank’s social media platforms, website, and other internal and external communications channels, in coordination with the Communications team.Support internal and external communications, as well as resource mobilization initiatives.Identify opportunities for improvement.Carry out other related functions.RequirementsProven experience in project coordination/management.Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.Fluent English and Spanish mandatory and other languages welcome.Excellent computer literacy and good knowledge of MS Office suite and/or similar.

Knowledge of CRM systems and other (task) management tools welcome.Enthusiasm, team spirit and strong willingness to have an impact.Analytical skills and capability to multi-task and cope with a fast-paced changing environment under time pressure and dealing with complexity and diverse backgrounds.Ability to work independently and in teams, positive and collaborative attitude, creativity, pro-active initiative, and capacity to quickly address concerns, queries and feedback in a constructive and action-oriented manner.Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, or a similar level of knowledge proven by work experience.Passionate for climate and the environment.
