A lovely, welcoming and respectful family based in Madrid, Spain, seeks a fantastic family assistant or mother''s help.  The likely schedule will be Monday through Friday, 11.00am-8.00pm (with time for a break during the day), although it would be appreciated if candidates could be flexible around occasional weekend/evening help.  Ideally the candidate will start as soon as possible, however the right fit is very important and Mum would rather not rush into anything.The responsibilities will be varied - the role is about supporting the family wherever necessary (within reason!) and ideally candidates would be open to most or all of the followingOccasional childcare for two children aged 4-years and 6-years, stepping in when the parents are busy (although they will do the majority of the care)Some tutoring and/or homework support once the children are in schoolOccasional housekeeping if back-up support is needed (for example, if someone is off sick or hasn''t managed to complete all duties)Training other household staff, ensuring standards are maintained and tasks are completedResearch to support Mum with maintaining household standards and preferences (for example, of product ingredients, for durability and eco-credentials etc) Occasional pet careSome family cooking if possible, or at least helping the parents with meal preparationMaintaining household aesthetics, ensuring high standards are upheld and the home is consistently welcoming, organised and running smoothlyMinor household upkeep such as replacing lightbulbs, coordinating with vendors and contractors when needed, keeping an eye on mail, on inventory and re-stocking with approved suppliesOnline ordering and some errandsThe household is calm, welcoming, balanced and harmonious.  This could be a role for one person, or could be for a couple, as long as one half of the couple is happy to take on the exterior of the property as well.  The successful candidate(s) will fit into this environment andShould be fluent in English and, ideally, French.  Spanish would also be helpful but isn''t essentialShould have excellent attention to detail with high standardsWill be calm, down-to-Earth and measured in approachMust have a positive, pitch-in attitude to running the householdMust love children and pets!Have prior knowledge of running a household (at least 5 years of experience) and a love for creating a warm, inviting environmentMust have an innate understanding of family dynamics, and should be happy to consistently model appropriate behaviourIs open to some international travel in the future (likely to the US)Has prior experience with household laundry, ironing and foldingIs a confident cook, willing to learn new recipes and incorporate the family''s preferencesIs intelligent, has initiative and is consistently reliable and puntual Separate apartment provided for the successful candidateRelocation supportGenerous salary, starting from £50,000 gross pa
