Join us in shaping the future! We are currently seeking a talented IP Strategy & Protection Specialist to support our Boeing businesses in Madrid, Spain or in Munich, Germany . In this pivotal role, the successful candidate will work closely with business and technology leaders to ensure the Boeing effectively captures, protects, and leverages our patent portfolio and trade secrets.
You will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies that align with our business objectives while safeguarding our intellectual property assets. A key aspect of this role involves fostering successful and positive collaboration across multiple functions within the organization.
You will engage with Boeing Intellectual Property (BIP) leadership, the Law Department, Global Compliance, Engineering, and Business Unit Leaders to create a cohesive approach to IP strategy and protection.
Your ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships will be essential in driving initiatives that enhance our competitive advantage in the market. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting thorough analyses of existing patents and trade secrets, identifying potential risks, and recommending proactive measures to mitigate those risks.
You will also stay abreast of industry trends and developments in intellectual property law to ensure that Boeing remains at the forefront of innovation and compliance. We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in intellectual property strategy, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for collaboration.

Key Responsibilities Include Act as the primary point of contact for all inquiries related to regional intellectual property (IP) rights, providing expert advice and guidance to stakeholders. Deliver strategic IP support aimed at advancing both current and future business objectives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Lead the initiative for invention disclosure harvesting by actively promoting the submission of invention disclosures.
This includes capturing and documenting existing IP and thoroughly reviewing submissions for completeness and accuracy. Develop and implement comprehensive training programs, both general and country-specific, to enhance IP awareness and understanding across the organization. Provide advisory support to the business on existing processes and tools for effective IP management, ensuring teams are well-equipped to navigate IP challenges. Collaborate with various business units to ensure a clear understanding of and compliance with Boeingu2019s IP strategy and policies, fostering a culture of adherence to best practices. Oversee and coordinate regional changes in IP regulations and practices, ensuring that the organization remains compliant and informed about relevant legal developments. Partner with the Law Department and IP Counsel to address and resolve any IP-related issues, safeguarding the companyu2019s interests and ensuring legal compliance. To be successful in this role you will need Proven experience across multiple domains, including strategy development and execution, intellectual property, law, business, and engineering. Familiarity with technologies relevant to the aerospace industry, enabling you to effectively engage with Research and Engineering teams. Strong business judgment and strategic thinking capabilities to inform decision-making and drive initiatives. Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and build relationships across diverse teams. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities while consistently meeting strict deadlines. Proficiency in overseeing complex projects and handling a high volume of matters, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively as needed. A qualified candidate must possess a global mindset and be willing to participate in U.S.-based team meetings, contributing to a collaborative and inclusive work environment. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) Bacheloru2019s degree in engineering, Science and/or Law, or related field.Advanced degrees (Master, PhD, J.D Law, etc.) is preferred and not mandatory to be considered for this position. Relevant education or experience in Intellectual Property (). Proficient in both written and verbal English Good to have (Desired Skills/Experience) Transactional law/tech transfer experience Experience in the development policies, procedures, and processes related to Typical Education & Experience Technical bacheloru2019s degree and typically 9 or more yearsu2019 related work experience or a Masteru2019s degree with typically 7 or more yearsu2019 or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more yearsu2019 related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Relocation This position does not offer relocation.
