We are looking for a Manager RTR Accounting to join our European finance team.

This is a key position for an experienced, ambitious finance professional whom is motivated to contribute to setting up the European finance function as embecta builds out its presence in Europe.

The position will deal with a broad range of accounting and controlling topics across various countries.

The incumbent must bring strong US GAAP and local GAAP knowledge combined with hands on experience of SAP , and be used to work in controls environments with SOX or with relevant Internal control systems (ICS).

The incumbent must have a willingness to deal with both strategic issues as well as a hands-on approach to daily transactional items.

Strong communication and cultural sensitivity are required in order to coordinate the activities of outsourced services and collaborate with colleagues in the US, Europe and Asia.

As a valuable resource to the organization the incumbent is pro-active and brings strong analytical - and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a non-structured environment. Essential Functions of the job Execute the accounting processes for the EU entities following US GAAP.

This includes (but is not limited to) Coordinate correct accounting of international commercial activities (revenue, gross to net, cost accounting, receivables) Ensure GL accuracy and completeness (Prepare detailed journal entries and account analyses) Manage the monthly financial close process, including Following month end control checklist ensuring all transactions are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, performing account balance reconciliations and reporting preparation. Coordinate the accounting process for the European entities jointly with embectau2019s 3rd party service providers Execute and coordinate timely, accurate and complete accounting and settlement of all intercompany transactions. Work with external service providers on regards to VAT declarations.

Direct tax and other local reporting Assist with compilation of information for preparation of tax returns. Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts following local GAAP for all European entities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of all financial reporting requirements Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process and system changes. Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices Assist with SOX compliance and management of material control audits. Miscellaneous projects as they arise. Computer Skills SAP , Excel, Power BI, Concur, Workday, Group reporting (or BPC, Hyperion or similar) Other Qualifications Accounting/Business/Finance Bachelor degree with 5 years of experience in a multinational finance environment (healthcare or medical devices experience a plus), WILLIGNESS to execute daily transactional accounting tasks; desire to work in a fast paced, changing (currently unstructured) environment, excellent communication skills combined with cultural sensitivity, excellent spoken/written English language is required Travel Minimal Education Required Accounting/Business/Finance Bacheloru2019s Degree Regular embecta is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
